How To Get The Right Radiator
when buying online!

When buying a radiator anywhere, you need to make sure you're buying the right one. But buying online can be a slightly more important feat, as it can be a hassle if it is the wrong part. On this page, we are going to do our best to show you how to examine a radiator to make sure it is the right fit, whether you're using our online store, or someone else's.
Most of the time, a catalog will lead you directly to the radiator you need, however, sometimes there can be issues. For example, alternatives may be offered; or the offered radiator may be inferior compared to your original. This checklist shows you the things to check, how to check them, and what the difference can make.
  1. Thickness. The Thickness of the radiator is measure on the core, from front to back, as in the picture below. When buying a new radiator you want to get one that is the same thickness as your old one, or you run the risk of overheating. Many places will try to sell inferior radiators that are thinner; we however try to only sell the thickness of the original.
  2. Core Dimensions: Measure the core height and width and make sure it is close to the one you are buying. Most retailers list it in the description. Do not measure the whole radiator, only the core, as depicted by the arrows in the picture.
  3. Neck Placement: Make sure the top and bottom neck are in the same spots or the replacement will not work.
  4. Mount Placement: Check your fan and radiator mounts in the picture to make sure they are in the correct spots. Some aftermarket radiators are made to fit several applications, so if there is more than enough mounts, the radiator usually still works.
  5. TOC & EOC: This stands for Transmission Oil Cooler and Engine Oil Cooler respectively. Make sure if you have these that the replacement does too. If you do not have a TOC or EOC and the replacement does, don't fret, as it will still work. Just leave the connections alone, you don't even have to plug them off!
